Fiona Crawford 

Anastasia was one of the first women of the Bendigo goldfields.  She was trusted by other miners and it was said that she kept their gold in purses hidden within her petticoats.

Gold was the treasure that these men and women were seeking, yet the real treasure was the babies born on the goldfields, the next generation of men and women that continued with their parent's dream of a better life.
